Local processing and your choice of storage

Cropping, perspective correction, page layout and export run locally. The editor does not automatically upload document images or project files. Exported files remain where you save them; sharing with an app or storage provider is your choice. Projects may include original images and are not independently encrypted by the editor. Removing app or browser data can remove local projects.

Optional Mr. Tech cloud projects

Choosing Save to Mr. Tech cloud uploads the .mtm project, including its original images, page names and settings, to private storage associated with your account on the Mr. Tech server. There is no automatic upload from editing or camera capture. Cloud storage requires an approved account, active access and a registered device. Local and guest workspaces do not grant access to another account's cloud.

The service retains the latest three completed revisions of each project, together with its title, size, timestamps, account and device references, and a file-integrity digest. Default limits are 64 MiB per project, 100 projects and 500 MiB per account, including retained revisions. An administrator may adjust the account quota. Incomplete upload reservations expire after one hour and are cleaned on a later cloud request by that account. Project content is not sent to an AI provider or exposed through a public link. Transfer uses HTTPS. Cloud storage is not end-to-end encrypted; authorized hosting administrators can access the database.

Deleting a cloud project removes its contents and all retained revisions from the service database; local copies remain. Completing an account-deletion request also removes its cloud projects and revisions. This cannot erase copies you exported or shared elsewhere. Opening Google Drive, OneDrive or another file provider uses the application or system file picker you choose. It does not automatically link a Google account to Mr. Tech, and this option does not give us an OAuth token or access to your Drive files. Copies stored with another provider are governed by that provider's policies.

Account and licensing data

We process your name, username, email and authentication information, storing a password hash rather than a readable password. We retain the internal account ID, access grants, registered device name, platform, app version, installation ID, trial dates and a pseudonymous device digest. Android and Windows derive the digest locally; the underlying operating-system identifier is not transmitted. The web edition uses browser storage and a cookie.

Account and security events support licensing, fraud prevention and operation. Hosting logs may include IP addresses and request timestamps. Release apps communicate with account services over HTTPS. Native sign-in tokens use operating-system protected storage. No advertising SDK or advertising identifier is used, and the app does not request contacts, messages or location.

One-day free trial

Each app receives 24 hours of active use. Export, printing, sharing and cloud saving are unavailable throughout the trial. Hidden or idle applications do not consume active time; reloading or switching modes does not reset it. Trial projects stay in a separate local workspace. Deliberately opening a new guest trial creates a fresh workspace and budget; registered account/device trials retain previous usage. Minimal pseudonymous identifiers and usage records support abuse prevention.

Processing and external services

We do not sell your data. Mr.Tech and its hosting/operational service providers process account data to provide the service. You choose files using system tools. Camera access requires your action and device/browser permission. The Android app requests CAMERA permission for capture through the system camera. Temporary capture files are deleted and their access grants revoked after receipt. The app does not request microphone permission or broad storage access. Captured images remain in the local project and are not automatically uploaded. Developer website, social and contact links open external services governed by their own policies.

Sharing creates a temporary copy in the app-private folder and grants the chosen recipient access. Cleanup is attempted on a later app launch for temporary copies older than 24 hours; there is no background deletion while the app stays closed. A copy may remain until a later launch or system/user app-data cleanup. Cleanup does not remove files exported to a chosen folder or copies received by another app.

Account deletion

Request deletion of your account and associated data, even without the app installed. Requests are reviewed after ownership verification, with a target completion time of 30 days. This is a shared BuildYourBusiness account; deletion can affect associated applications and projects. Temporary suspension alone is not deletion. Limited security, fraud-prevention or legally required records may be retained with the reason explained by the administrator. You must remove local projects and exported copies from your own device or storage.
